Nişantaşı
Classy shops, "old Istanbul" families, spacy apartments. This is where you would never consider leaving the house without wearing lipstick.

Teşvikiye
Further down from Nişantaşı, a bit less central. If you don't have a garage, parking will be a fond memory.

Ulus
Best for those who wish to stay close to the comfy shopping of Akmerkez and have the luxury of parking their car in front of their home.

Kemer Country

A 20 minute drive away from the center of the city, Kemer Country is a town privileged by natural surroundings and a variety of activity centers. The town is divided into 5 residential neighbourhoods offering choices between studios, wide apartments, houses and villas all guaranteeing peace and quiet in green surroundings. Kemer Country also holds within itself a variety of shops fulfilling all needs, making it possible for residents to leave the area only when they really choose to.

Asian Side Bağdat Avenue
Favourite flirting promenade of the oh-so-trendy teenage crowd. A lively shopping and residing area.

Asian Side Bosphorus Area
An expensive neighbourhood with a wonderful view. The one district that will give you the true sensation of "living in İstanbul".

Asian Side Moda
Old Istanbul's summer resort, now a pleasant area of sea-side walks and enjoyment of the calmer side of the city.

Şişli
Good prices, large flats, very hectic neighbourhood. Best for offices.

Cihangir
Great views, close to the bohemian nightlife. Don't expect to be able to sleep early though.

Zekeriyaköy
A bit of a drive away from the city but worth the effort if peace, quiet and green surroundings are what you're looking for. Great for children.

Alkent 2000
Further from the city by the Lake of Büyükçekmece, Alkent is a town on its own. Built on the idea of world away from pollution and the rush of city life, Alkent Istanbul 2000 was voted the most successful life-style project at the World Young Business Achiever Contest in Beijing (1998). If the distance from the city is not an issue but natural surroundings are, now you know where to set your new home.
